What does a Chairperson do?
IMPROVE CHILDREN'S LIVES
Cotillion is about teaching children kindness, courtesy, and respect in a healthy, structured environment. JDW Cotillions has instructed more than 350,000 students in the art of communication skills, codes of conduct, and social dance. When polling parents, 98% say after Cotillion their child is more courteous, considerate, and respectful of others. 96% of the students who participated feel more confident in meeting new people. Imagine the positive ripple effect this could have in your community!
REAP THE REWARDS
The success of JDW Cotillions is a direct result of a strong local presence. Our Chairs contribute greatly to our programs by spreading the word within their community and becoming our community liaison. JDWC Chairs help us identify a great location for classes, determine which grades should be served (between 3rd-8th grades), and coordinate with parent ambassadors (known as Committee Members) from key schools, to help us invite more students. In turn, our Chairs receive a financial incentive for their work and participation.
CREATE A LOCAL TRADITION
JDW Cotillions currently directs 50+ programs nationwide. When establishing a new program JDW Cotillions reserves and pays for the facility, processes student registrations and payments, and brings in certified instructors to teach the curriculum. There is no cost to our Chairs. Becoming a JDWC Chair provides a program for children and adolescents that builds a foundation of social awareness and is appreciated by parents, students, teachers, and communities.
